Memorandum I am writing this letter to record the work that Tom Edick has done for BHP Petroleum over the last 3 years. In my role as Petroleum Engineering Manager I am responsible for recruiting in the disciplines of reservoir engineering, production engineering, petrophysics, development geology, and operations geology. In the 3-year period, my organization has grown from 13 people to 45 people. Much of this growth involved movement of internal personnel, but many of the jobs were filled by recruiting from outside of the BHP organization. In this recruiting effort, Tom Edick has proven himself to be the best recruiter that I have worked with out of the dozens that have tried to involve themselves in our recruiting. Tom has consistently been able too understand our requirements and to deliver capable candidates well suited for the vacancies we are trying to fill. He has recently placed a production engineer, development geologist, reservoir engineer, and reservoir engineer supervisor into our organization. In the process, he managed expectations of the candidates, helped to sell BHP, worked with candidates through the offer/negotiation stage, and was excellent at helping to close a deal. BHP has recently decided to work with only a few recruiters instead of dozens. Tom was at the top of the list in deciding whom to work with. I would recommend him as a recruiter to anyone with recruiting needs. |
